About Us
Welcome to our new website. Whashton Springs Farmhouse B&B is part of a 600 acre working farm. We have a beef herd, sheep, and arable land as well as the chickens!
The farmhouse itself contains 3 large, en-suite guest bedrooms, guest lounge and guest breakfast room. The courtyard, just off the main farmhouse, has a mixture of double and twin rooms. Most are en-suite while one room shares a bathroom with an adjoining twin room, ideal for families. There are 5 courtyard rooms in total.
The farm lies just 3 miles to the north of the Georgian market town of Richmond, North Yorkshire. The land rises gently out of Richmond and we’re lucky to be nestled in one of the shallow valleys with stunning views. The garden is a peaceful wildlife haven yet minutes from the hustle of Richmond’s cobbled marketplace with its eclectic mix of traditional pubs, pavement cafes, walking shops and boutiques.
Our farmhouse is a 17th century Georgian beauty and we’re very proud of it. The farm and B&B is run by husband and wife David and Jane Turnbull and has been in the family for two generations. David’s mother first started the B&B a long time ago and was taken over by Jane when David and, brother, Andrew took over the farm from their Father. All of the farms water is supplied by our own springs.
